Meet Dr. Sutker

General, bariatric, and laparoscopic surgeon, Dr. Sutker, established his practice in 2014. His renowned private practice is among the few surgeons which form the Surgical Consultants of Dallas, LLC. Dr. Sutker takes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, partnering with his associates to deliver the best results. He is board-certified in general surgery and fellowship-trained with the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS).

Born in Plano, TX, Dr. Sutker graduated from Plano Senior High School. He was raised in a medical family as his father is an orthopedic surgeon while his uncle is an infectious disease specialist. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Plan 2 Honors at the University of Texas in Austin, TX, and later a medical degree from Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Sutker completed a residency training and surgical internship at UT-Southwestern. Afterward, he received fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery from the University of California- San Francisco. He continuously attends regular medical education and participates in local and national conferences to ensure he’s up-to-date with the latest surgical and research techniques.
