How To Protect Yourself Against Alzheimer’s With Just One Cheap Ingredient
Most of the doctors, when asked about a cure for Alzheimer’s disease they’ll tell you there is no cure, nor is there a treatment. But Dr. Mary Newport disagrees. She set to work researching the disease and understanding, when her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the young age of 51, why it happens and how it can be stopped.
Her husband’s disease was progressing rapidly and traditional medication was not working to slow the disease. It didn’t take long before he couldn’t tie his shoes anymore. So Dr. Newport tried something that was, that many said was out of desperation.
Coconut oil
She started giving her husband four teaspoons of coconut oil a day and noticed results right away. He was able to read again and became more mentally agile, tie his shoes again, and have conversations. Mary got her husband back. But Mary, decided to quantify her findings with more in-depth research, because being a doctor she knew that one instance of Alzheimer’s being treated makes not a cure. Her next step has been to apply for funding for investigating this treatment.
She was given the green light, after some time to study 65 individuals with early onset to moderate Alzheimer’s. She’s studying how coconut oil impacts the ability of Alzheimer’s sufferers to continue to function at some upper level. They called Alzheimer’s type 3 diabetes. To function normally, your brain needs glucose and fat. It’s what the brain uses as fuel. Studies have shown that fat diets and low carb, for example, can impact brain function in a negative way. So this is where coconut oil comes into play.
Coconut oil is full of ketones. Ketones are a molecule that the brain uses when there isn’t enough glucose around, for energy. Dr. Newport thinks this is how her husband was helped by coconut oil. His brain was no longer using fats and glucose for food, and in their absence, added ketones filled in some of the blanks for energy.
We’re eager to hear about the results because this is really exciting research. In the meantime, coconut oil is something that definitely couldn’t hurt to add to your diet, especially if you have early onset Alzheimer’s, unless you or your family member is allergic to coconuts.

Thank you for knowing this..
You are Welcome!
How do you suggest to eat that much a day? Thanks
4 teaspoons… that’s only 1 tablespoon (3 teaspoons = 1 TBS) plus 1 teaspoon. That’s nothing. Gulp it down like the old folk use to do cod liver oil. Put it in your vingarette salad dressing. Don’t make this complicated. I’m not being ugly but if research shows this to be helpful then do it… by any means necessary!
Try it in cofee its delicious
My mom is 81 and she has Alzheimer’s and some times she is really talking out her head, it’s scary but something we as a family have to deal with. Will this coconut oil stop some of that!
