Make Your Own “Breathe Jar” To Relieve Sinus Congestion
You have probably used one of those nasal sprays without recipe, for your obstructed sinuses. Some people who used these sprays stated that, after making them feel better and they stopped using them, the congestion came back double as bad as when the cold started.
This is known as a “rebound effect”, in which you are caught in a trap where you are depending from the spray in order to breathe. There were up to 2 weeks needed before the “rebound effect” disappeared.
So when you have obstructed sinuses, you shouldn’t use over-the-counter pills or liquid, instead you try to make your own BREATHE JAR with essential oils.
All you need for this recipe is a jar, several cotton balls and some essential oils.
How to Make A “Breathe Jar”
Put 1-3 cotton balls in a small jar, which will fit over your nose.
Next thing you should do is to add the following essential oils, seeping them directly on the cotton balls.
- 15 drops Oregano
- 15 drops Melaleuca
- 15 drops Peppermint
- 15 drops Lemon
Put a tight-fitting lid on the jar.
If you are using smaller jar, simply adjust the amount of cotton balls.
If you are using 1 ounce of glass jar you can add one cotton pad.
How to use:
When you feel sinus pain or obstruction simply open the jar, put it near your nose and breathe in slowly and deep. If the jar is big enough you can put it over your nose and mouth, and the heat that comes from your breath will generate vapors from the oils and strengthen the decongestant effects.
Use your breathe jar as often as you need to help to monitor your congestion, because the essential oils to not stay in your system for long periods. Some people are claiming that it helped them with their cough.
Hold it in a cool and dry area. When you notice that the scent has faded away, all you need to do is to add several more drops of essential oil.
You will surely be satisfied of the way this natural remedy works, besides it is far better than this…
