Take it raw and chew it, if you cannot stand the taste you can cook it but it is less effective that way.

I eat one clove a day, coarsely chopped and swallowed with water,,,,I do not smell like garlic.I have not had a cold or flu in 8 ears… home grown garlic is best but store bought woks well too,, pill form garlic is a waste of money.. and it ALSO cured my dueodenal ulce,r that’s the best part.. was spending a fortune on prescription drugs for my stomach..

I have always used garlic to treat my children’s ears if I suspect that they are coming down with a possible ear infection (usually after a cold). I heat up crushed garlic in oil, let it cool a bit, and then put a drop of oil in the ear canal. I cannot remember needing antibiotics since using this method for warding off ear infections. I do caution you to take your child to the doctor if things like pain or pressure gets worse! I am not against medication, but do everything I can to try to deal with things more naturally first. 🙂
Antibiotics kill a lot of healthy gut flora. Would eating raw garlic on an empty stomach have the same effect? Or does it somehow selective kill only the harmful gut bacteria?

When eating so much garlic what can you do about it giving you such bad breath…tooth brushing…mouthwash…..and a ton of breath mints….can get expensive. Is there something easier ? Cheaper method to help save you breath ?
