Breast Cancer Survivor Shared What Really Helped Her Heal
A woman named Janette Murray-Wakelin experienced breast cancer and won the battle against it with food diet, physical activity, mediation and her own intuition. Janette heard a terrible news from the doctor in the early 2000s that she was diagnosed stage 3 breast cancer, and she was told that she has only half a year left or maybe less.
Fortunately, in this half a year Janette got a clean bill of health and took part in hundreds of marathons in just year and two months. Yes it is true that she did that in one year.
The doctors recommended a chemo therapy, but she denied because she thought that it didn’t make sense.
“I was already compromised, so why would I compromise myself further so I’d get another half a year of being sick?”
She didn’t want to go for what she also called a “very fear-driven” mentality that most of the doctors are making in conditions like that, she denied to do chemo therapy and radiation and faced towards alternative methods that looked like a healthier and better choice for her. “Most of the people are doing what the doctors are recommending because they don’t really know that they can be responsible and take control on their body and health”- says Murray-Wakelin.
Leaving the traditional cancer treatments
She didn’t even think about the traditional treatments and asked herself what could she do to make the difference. The first thing that crossed her mind was diet rich in high-nutrient and raw foods.
She was also a vegetarian, which was very helpful in her battle against the breast cancer, making her stronger and adjustable for juicing.
As a matter of fact, Janette was very active when it comes to physical activity, and the fitness and health were top priority in her life. She states that some exposure to chemical laden products and living in highly polluted areas were the main causes of her ailment.
When the cancer was diagnosed, she begin to do some research about the side effects and the efficiency of chemo. She made a conclusion based on the information and questionable results that come along with treatments like this. She noted that, “the smaller the print got, the more it became obvious that this was not the thing to do.” So, she didn’t followed the footsteps of the most people and did a research on the book The Breuss Cancer Cure, written by Rudolf Breuss and implemented 42-day juice fast, following his directions.
Breast cancer recovery-Healing foods
In her diet she ate foods from the Brasscaceae family, like beet root, broccoli and Brussels sprouts. When 42 days have passed, she began with adding foods such as carrots and green apples in the juices she was preparing.
The wheat grass is crucial because it is helpful in removing harmful cells.”Cancer is not able to survive in oxygenated environment, that’s why the more oxygen I could accumulate in my body through exercise, conscious breathing and drinking wheat grass, the better.”- Janette noted. Her intend was to starve her cancer, while providing the body with good nutrients to maintain its strength.
Why does physical activity keep cancer at a bay?
The doctors advised her not to run anymore. So, the first thing she did, was increasing of the distance while running. She started to exercise more and more because she wanted to provide a oxygenated environment for cancer.
How active was she?
So I can tell, that she was pretty active. In 2013, Janette together with her husband participated in 365 marathons in just one year. On January 1, 2014, they participated in a marathon and set a new world record for the most consecutive marathon ran. And it is worth to mention that they are in their sixties.
Janette said she had tons of energy and a “fantastic” feeling.
“I strongly believe and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that eating 100% raw food made the greatest difference in my recovery and my overall healing,” –she notes. “My diagnosis of cancer and resulting journey towards optimum health has been an experience I am really grateful for. I am sure that I will continue to eat raw food, and I will continue to get more and more health benefits from the raw path. Every day is wonderful and exciting one when you are raw.”
