After 17 years of great career, Valerie Warwick has quit her job. It is a huge and a pretty brave step to give up a long-term career, but she did so, and the reason was – she hoped to save some lives. Warwick worked in the oncology department and was specializing in cancer, but left her work place to give way to proper nutrition when it comes to surviving cancer. At the same time, she hoped she can also help other people to better understand the ways of surviving and fighting cancer.

At young age, she lived with her father who has throat cancer, and her mother, who had multiple sclerosis, so she was the one who should’ve taken care for the whole family, at an age of 20. In that period, cancer treating was pretty scary and invasive. Her father’s throat was cut out for the most part, because the method used for treating cancer back then was cutting so that you can reach the cancer cells and get rid of them. However, her father passed away.

Her father’s case was a strong motivation for her to help people facing health issues, so she started working at the oncology department. There, she was seeing things and she was wondering whether the ways of treating cancer were the right ways. In 2008, her closest friend was also diagnosed with cancer, which was an additional stimulus for her to start researching on the topic of alternative therapies, ways of living, diets and remedies for cancer. This changed her opinion about the illness.

One of her discoveries was that patient who fight cancer are starved to death. This is because they were deprived of the most necessary nutrients their bodies need to work and heal themselves. Conventional treatments added to this as well, because they are hazardous and destroy the immune system in patients. The logical conclusion was that cancer must be curable, but only if you use the right methods in the right time.
